Meet Kristal
Kristal has always been drawn to supporting children in impactful ways. Her curiosity about how people learn and grow led her to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of California, Davis.

After college, Kristal worked at a nonprofit supporting children with diverse needs, including speech, language, and physical development. Inspired by her mentors, she discovered her passion for helping children communicate in ways that honor their individuality, foster confidence, and enrich their everyday life.

She earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, East Bay and gained experience working with toddlers to young adults across a variety of clinical settings before founding Kasama Speech Therapy.

Therapy Approach
Kristal believes meaningful connections are the foundation of every child’s growth. She uses strengths-based, empathetic, and culturally responsive methods to support each child as a whole person and honor their unique ways of communicating.

As a Filipina and Asian American clinician, Kristal is dedicated to empowering children and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. She stays current with evidence-based practices and continually learns from the children, families, and communities she serves.

Outside of Work
Kristal enjoys spending time outdoors - hiking, wandering city streets, or visiting local parks. She also enjoys singing, attending live music events, watching movies, and exploring new restaurants. She brings the same curiosity and sense of wonder to her personal life that she brings to every therapy session.
